Greetings from Barcelona is an artistic intervention of the students and professors of the Master in Photography and Design of ELISAVA and starts from the postcard as a theme, medium and end. The postcard has been fundamental in the development and popularization of both photography and tourism, being for both fields a fundamental element for its understanding. At the same time, the postcard, as a simulated image of an ideal world, is a fiction created for the tourist, which depicts a domesticated world that is kind to all audiences.

In this sense, Greetings from Barcelona questions the postcard, its importance, history and current use, investigating at the same time the simulated image of the city of Barcelona that has been built through this format.

The project consists of an installation with postcards in different venues of the #rutadocfield of the DOCfield 17 festival (during the duration of the festival), and an exhibition in the Miscelanea space in Barcelona from the 23rd to the 26th of November.
